Do you have a mantra in life? Many people do and while it sounds dumb or silly to a lot of people, having a motto to live by can actually be very helpful. Anytime you feel particularly stressed or lost, you can remind yourself of it. Mantras can give purpose and be a grounding force.
If you don’t have a mantra, here’s a good one to go by:
It’s never too late to get started.
While this is a very simple motto, it can apply to many different areas of your life and work. Too often people think that it’s too late to get started – from the little things, such as working out, up to the bigger things, like pursuing their dreams. It’s never too late. The moment you think it’s too late is the moment when you’ve been defeated. Whatever your goal is, there is always time to get started. If you keep that mindset, you’ll find that your productivity and overall happiness will increase significantly.
It’s never too late to start that big idea.
Many people are scared to pursue a goal or dream because they think it’s too late. But as another saying goes, it’s never too late. The longer you wait to start that business you’ve always wanted to or make a career change, the harder it will be. Even if you’ve pushed it off for awhile, do it now before you waste anymore time. The right time is today.
It’s never too late to try again.
After failing at something, it can be difficult to pick yourself back up. You think that just because you’ve failed once, you’ll failed again. However, many successful entrepreneurs don’t succeed on their first try. It’s takes two, three, or even four more try before they see success. Don’t be deterred by failure. It’s a learning experience. You’ll be better positioned and more knowledgeable the second time around.
It’s never too late make a change.
Change is good and it’s never too late to make change. When we are too set in our ways, it’s hard to see things from another perspective. Making some change in your life will allow you to see things differently and maybe even spark some new ideas. Yes, change is scary and sometimes, it won’t work out. But you will never know unless you try. Even though you might feel like it’s too late or too risky to make a change, you can always start small and test the waters.
